Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks will hold a boat and water safety class beginning at 8 a.m. May 12 at Mahanna Wildlife Management Area in Redwood.

Anyone born after June 30, 1980 must complete the class before operating a boat on public waters.

Participants must register for the class at least five days in advance. To register for the May 12 class call, 601-859-3421.
