Jnell M. Parker died Monday, May 7, 2012 at River Region Medical Center. She was 72.

Born in Neshoba County, Miss., she was the daughter of the late Major T. Matthews and Luva Dee Cumberland Matthews. Mrs. Parker, a 1960 graduate of Culkin Academy, was employed by the Insurance Division of Fisher-Riles Funeral Home for 15 years. She attended Living Water Christian Fellowship.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mobrey K. Parker Sr.; her son, Anthony Knox “Tony” Parker; and twin grandsons, Colton Lee Harris and William Chase Harris.

She is survived by her daughter, Paula Harris Morley of Vicksburg; her son, Mobrey Knox “Micky” Parker Jr. of Vicksburg; three grandchildren, Candice Danielle Ladner (Jake) of Saucier, Miss., and Logan Matthew Parker and Carley Da’ Sha Morley, both of Vicksburg; two great-grandchildren, Adilynn Kieley Ladner and Joel Liam Ladner; a sister, Wila Jean Thornton of Florida; and a brother, George Elwood Matthews (June) of Little Rock, Ark.

Services for Mrs. Parker will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Gina Mitchell, associate pastor of the Living Water Christian Fellowship, officiating. Visitation will be tonight from 5 until 7 at Riles Funeral Home and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Billy Ray Parker, Jim Latham, Clay Griffin, Logan Parker, Jake Ladner, Dave White, Kenny Ellerbe and Chris Marley.
