PORT GIBSON — Mildred Hynum died Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Kings Daughters Hospital in Brookhaven. She was 87.

Ms. Hynum was born in Claiborne County and had lived there most of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Jewell Hynum; a brother; and a sister.

Survivors include her brother, Linton Columbus Hynum of Monroe; four sisters, Edna Earline Goza of Pattison, Betty Mae Wade of Pearl, Margaret Brown of Brookhaven and Edna Raines of Vicksburg; numerous nieces; and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson with the Rev. Lynn Moak officiating. Burial will follow at Wintergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the service at the funeral home.
