Emergency responders tend to Courtney Nevels, 21, 275 Buford Drive, after the car in which she was a passenger ran under the back of a Walmart 18-wheeler on Interstate 20 West, injuring her and the driver, Chanci Conerly, 21, 6622 Oak Ridge Road. The truck’s driver and two passengers in the car were not injured. A spokesman for River Region Medical Center said this morning that Nevels was in fair condition and Conerly was in good condition. The wreck was one of four reported in the city between 4 and 5 p.m. Tuesday, as 0.33 inch of rain was dumped on the area. Today’s rain was forecast to clear out with cooler temperatures expected through the weekend.
