Eunice Phillips, turning 101 today, sits with her caretaker and friend, Claudia Pickering, at a birthday celebration Friday afternoon at Covenant Health & Rehab in Vicksburg. Phillips was born on May 14, 1911, in Ruleville. She celebrated her birthday with friends from her Explorers Bible study group, many of whom she’s known for 25 years.
