Three arrested in Sunday kidnapping, robbery

Three men accused of kidnapping two women from a Vicksburg Waffle House and robbing them were arrested this morning.

Felix Howard, 28, 825 Boston Road, Apt. 40, Pearl; Perry McAbee, 25, 2317 Breckinridge Road, Jackson; and Cedric Akite, 26, 5416 5416 Mimosa Drive, Jackson, were arrested by the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force this morning, Vicksburg police Lt. Sandra Williams said.

The three men are accused of kidnapping two Monroe, La., women outside the restaurant on Warrenton Road at 12:45 a.m. Sunday. Williams said the men forced the women into a blue and silver Dodge Magnum.

The women had gone to the restaurant to meet two men with whom they had exchanged phone numbers at Ameristar Casino, Williams said. A third man pulled a gun and forced the women into the car, Williams said.

All three suspects were expected to be in Vicksburg today with an initial court appearance scheduled for Friday at 10 a.m.
