Girl Scout camps cover a variety of themes and activities

The Girl Scouts of Greater Mississippi are offering camping experiences throughout the summer for girls who have completed kindergarten through the 11th grade.

Girls interested in attending do not have to currently be active in a traditional girl scout troop, Girl Scouts of Greater Mississippi Chief Executive Officer Becky Traweek said, but for girls not active in a troop, a $12 Girl Scout membership fee in addition to the camp fees will be required.

Camp fees range from $135 to $580, depending on the camp, and financial assistance is available.
