City man violates probation

A convicted bank robber accused of violating his probation was held without bail Friday.

Wilson Braynt, 38, 2711 Drummond St., was arrested on a federal probation warrant at 4:33 p.m. Friday at the Mississippi Department of Corrections office, 2709 Clay Street, police Capt. Bobby Stewart said.

Bryant was held Friday at the Warren County Jail awaiting pick-up by federal authorities, Stewart said.

Bryant was convicted in the late 1990s of bank robbery, Stewart said. Bryant was released from federal custody June 25, 2010.
