TVs hot in city thefts

Electronics and a gun were missing following four thefts Wednesday in the city.

At 12:21 p.m., a 60-inch LG television valued at $1,000, a 42-inch Sony TV valued at $600, a PlayStation 3 valued at $200 and a Dell computer valued at $400 were reported stolen from a home in the 2000 block of Cherry Street, police Capt. Bobby Stewart said.

At 1:21 p.m., a 32-inch Sony TV valued at $400 and a 22-inch TV valued at $200 were reported missing from a home in the 1700 block of Grove Street, Stewart said.

At 3:55 p.m., a TomTom global positioning system, valued at $175 was reported stolen from an unlocked 2011 Nissan Altima in the 200 block of Berryman Road, Stewart said.

At 9:15 a.m., a Stenlight flashlight valued at $70 and a single-shot shotgun valued at $50 were reported missing from a home in the 1800 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Stewart said.
