William “Bill” Presson Sr. died Monday, May 28, 2012. He was 95.

Born in Camden, Tenn., Mr. Presson moved to Vicksburg in 1940. He served in the Army in World War II with the 101st M.P. Battalion in North Africa and Italy. He worked as an automobile mechanic until his retirement in 1977. He was a member of Goodrum Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Presson; and four brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include two sons, Mike Presson and Tommy Presson, both of Vicksburg; one daughter, Cathy Lowe of Vicksburg; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Dwight Sibley officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Nick Presson, Connor Presson, Michael Presson, Josh Presson, Joey Presson, Gary James, Kyle Ramsey Presson and Jerry Graham.
