On May 12, 2012, the Letter Carriers, along with employees of the U.S. Post Office in Vicksburg, with cooperation form the U.S. Postal Service, conducted their annual food drive. We also received help from United Way.
A total of 7,302 pounds of nonperishable food was collected and distributed to agencies in Vicksburg and Warren County. We would like to thank our local media outlets including WQBC, WBBV, V-105 and The Vicksburg Post for your promotions. Special thanks to SignsFirst, Walmart, Kroger, United Way, BancorpSouth employees-Pemberton branch and Edward Jones employees-Halls Ferry branch, for all of your help and assistance. All of your acts of kindness are highly and greatly appreciated. The professional expertise you all have shown in this endeavor is what made it great. Also, special thanks to our retirees Elijah Johnson Jr., Sullivan Caldwell, Willie Peaches and Charlie Martin Jr. for their support on May 12, 2012, with their help the food drive was a success. Thank you so much, Vicksburg and Warren County citizens, for your generosity. May all the giving and support continue.
We look forward to future events! God Bless!
