Miss Dixie Molly May took the top spot in the talent preliminary, and Miss Madison County Nicole Poole won the evening gown preliminary Friday night in the eighth annual Miss Mississippi’s Outstanding Teen pageant.

May, the 17-year-old daughter of Debra May of Houston, performed “I Am Telling You” from the movie “Dream Girls.” She attends Houston High School.

Poole is 17 years old and attends Madison Central High School. She is the daughter of Penney and Kim Poole of Madison.

The winner of the pageant will be crowned tonight at the final round of competition, which is set to begin at 8 p.m. at the Vicksburg Auditorium. Tickets are $40, and ticket information is available by calling 601-638-6746.
