EDWARDS — Mary Lee “Mae Lee” White died Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at her home. She was 58.

Mrs. White was born June 30, 1953 in Edwards to the late David and Angline Jackson West.

She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She graduated from Hinds A.H.S. She was employed with the Hinds County Head Start for more than 20 years.

Mrs. White was preceded in death by her son, Willie Christopher White, and her brother, Willie Lee West.

Survivors include her husband, Rufus White Sr.; one son, Rufus White Jr. of Edwards; two daughters, Shellene White of Edwards and Charlene White of Clinton; one sister, Clara Mae Wallace Williams of Edwards; one brother, David West of Edwards; three grandsons and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and a daughter she reared, Tanual Sizer.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cherry Grove M.B. Church in Edwards with the Rev. Timothy Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Cherry Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 1 until 6 p.m. at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home in Vicksburg.
