PORT GIBSON — Jerry Dean Simmons died Monday, June 4, 2012, at Patient’s Choice Hospital. She was 66.

Mrs. Simmons was a member of Bethlehem M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Katina S. Simmons; and her parents, James and Mary Ollie Mitchell Compton.

Survivors include her son, Michael Cullins of Port Gibson; a daughter, LaToya Thomas of Amarillo, Texas; a brother, James Compton of Port Gibson; a sister, Johnnie Tolliver of Lorman; four grandchildren; and other relatives and friends, including Keith Hill of Lorman and Sandra Whiting of Pattison.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethlehem M.B. Church in Cannonsburg with the Rev. Percy Turner officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home and Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.
