Randall Martar, a member of Grace Baptist Church, stands in front of the cardboard airplane he made for vacation Bible school at the church. Martar said it took two weeks to build the plane with the help of Sandy Adcock, director of VBS for Grace Baptist, center and Beth Griffith, 17. This year’s theme is Awesome Wonders Aviation and the plane will be displayed in the sanctuary. VBS at Grace Baptist Church, 1729 Hankinson Road, will be Monday through Friday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The materials to construct the plane were donated by Foam Packaging. Beth, a senior at Vicksburg High School, is the daughter of Andy and Frances Griffith.
