Annie Adelle Marler

Annie Adelle Marler died Tuesday, June 5, 2012. She was 87.

Mrs. Marler was a native of Pearl River County and moved to Vicksburg in 1954. She was a graduate of Phillips Business College. She retired after 30 years as a salesperson from Dykes Furniture Store. She was a member of Bowmar Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star and Credit Women International.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Martin Marler; her parents, Ruby and Thomas King; two sons, William Martin Marler and Billy Ray Marler; two brothers, Billy Ray King and Loy T. King; a sister, Dorothy Nell Matthews; and two grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Ronald Dale Marler of Bigelow, Ark.; one daughter, Margaret Sue Boyd of Vicksburg; a brother, Richard Lee King of Oklahoma; two sisters, Joyce Faye Nunnery of Alvin, Texas, and Marie Phillips of Fort Smith, Ark.; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Dwight Sibley officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight.

Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi, Susan G. Komen for the Cure or the American Heart Association.
