Emanuel Tolliver

Brooklyn, N.Y.— Emanuel “Manny” Tolliver, a former resident of Vicksburg, died Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Downstate University Hospital in Brooklyn. He was 67.

Mr. Tolliver was a graduate of Rosa A. Temple High School. He was a retired radiologist from Downstate University Hospital and a member of Salem M.B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elisha and Roxie Tolliver; and four sisters, Annie Tolliver, Evelyn Givens, Mottel Doss and Bessie Smith.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Hattie Tolliver; one daughter, Kimberly Tolliver; one son, Justin Tolliver; five sisters, Louise Bunch of Southfield, Mich., Roxie Hebron, Cassie Parker, Alean Luster and Savannah Tolliver, all of Vicksburg; and three brothers, David Tolliver of Vicksburg and Robert Tolliver and Herold Tolliver of Aurora, Ill.; and other relatives and friends.

Services were May 21 at Salem M.B. Church with the Rev. Dr. James A. Thornton officiating. Burial followed at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale, Long Island.
