In reference to the VWS Board meeting held last week and reported in the Vicksburg Post, I feel clarification is needed.

No board member left the meeting early as the executive session was finished and only the chairman reports to the public.

In addition, my vote on Scholastic Academy was not against the Academy, but rather against adding four(4) additional teachers when only thirty seven (37) additional students were identified to be served.

I do not feel that I chastised Dr. Swinford, but rather reminded her that she must carry out the wishes of the VWS Board of Trustees — as the voters’ representatives.

I have the greatest respect for Pam Hitchins and I think she does a good job of reporting generally.
