Seven auto burglaries in three different locations were reported in the county Friday between 6:30 and 7 a.m., Warren County Lt. Billy Heggins said.
Four vehicles were burglarized at two different homes in the 300 block of Warriors Trail. Heggins said loose change and $200 were reported missing from two vehicles at one address, and the second address reported $200 missing from one vehicle and a designer purse of unknown value from the other.
“It’d be safe to say these are related,” Heggins said.
Three other auto burglaries were reported on Monteray Drive, and loose change was reported missing from each vehicle, he said.
Of the seven auto burglaries reported Friday morning, Heggins said six of the vehicles were left unlocked.
“It looks like they were only entering vehicles that were unlocked, and when they saw something valuable like a purse sitting inside they broke the window,” Heggins said. “You can’t leave valuables visible.”
Heggins said partial fingerprints were taken from one of the vehicles, and they will be processed to possibly name a suspect or suspects.
