JACKSON — Services for Mittie Ann Ross were at 11 a.m. March 21, 2012, at Greater Bethlehem Temple Church in Jackson with Bishop Robert N. Fortsen officiating. She was 95.

Ms. Ross died Thursday, March 15, 2012, in Jackson.

She was a former member of Clover Valley Baptist Church in Vicksburg and attended Greater Bethlehem Temple Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mahalia Wilson; her father and stepmother, Harris “Doc” and Lucy Erves; her husband, Benton Ross Sr.; two sons, Benton Ross Jr. and Robert Henry Ross; two daughters, Jessie Mae Ross and Wilmer Jean Ross; three brothers, Johnny Jones, Armon Wilson and Willie Wilson; and six sisters, Ruby Ward, Minnie Thomas, Sarah Erves Thomas, Annie Erves Jones, Florence Erves Spiller and Alice “Felix” Erves Green.

She is survived by four daughters, Bobbie Jean Ross and Mittie Ann Ross, both of Saginaw, Mich., evangelist Willie Mae Brown of Jackson and Alice Venyah of Irmo, S.C.; a grandson whom she reared, Angelo Benton Ross of San Francisco; 30 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, including the Watts, Williams and Burks families.
