Services for Terence Lee “Duke” Copeland Sr. will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Travelers Rest Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Ross officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Friday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with family present from 5 until 6.

Mr. Copeland died Saturday, June 30, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. He was 54.

He was a member of Jubilee Church of God in Christ and was a 1976 graduate of Vicksburg High School. He retired from Xerox Corp.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hezzie and Fallie Copeland; three brothers, Hezzie Copeland Jr., Velton Copeland and Virgil Copeland Sr.; and three sisters, Mary Helen Starks, Gracie White and Bernice Pleasant.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Jones Copeland of Vicksburg; two sons, Terence Copeland Jr. and Jonathan Copeland, both of Jackson; six sisters, Fallie Cobbs, Ola Stevenson, Barbara Mc-Knight and Brenda McBride, all of Vicksburg, Delores Tillman of Edwards and Emma Jackson of Houston, Texas; and other relatives and friends, including members of the Queen, Gibson, Coleman and Williams families.
