Mary Aultman Hackett

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Mary Aultman Hackett died Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Fairhaven Retirement Community. She was 86.

Mrs. Hackett was born in Worth County and lived most of her life in Shreveport, La. She was a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Hackett; great-grandson, Joshua William Hackett; parents, John Green and Emma Shiver Aultman; brothers, Forrest Aultman and Murray Aultman; and a sister, Evelyn Aultman Eve.

Survivors include three sons, William Thomas Hackett III of Birmingham, Michael Aultman of Houston, Texas, and Neil Miller Hackett of Apex, N.C.; and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Port Gibson Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at Wintergreen Cemetery in Port Gibson. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. Saturday until the service at the church. Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
