ROLLING FORK — Mariah Larry died Sunday, July 8, 2012, at Sharkey-Issaquena Hospital in Rolling Fork. She was 77.
Mrs. Larry was a member and mother at E.P. Baptist Church. She was a former member of Moon Lake M.B. Church and the Issaquena County Community Choir. She retired from Sharkey-Issaquena Community Hospital after 35 years of service.
She was a member of the Sister Aide Organization and the Heroines of Jericho.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Larry Sr.; and one son, Jerry D. Larry.
Survivors include four daughters, Joyce Ann Larry and Cynthia Clark, both of Vicksburg, Annie Pinkins of Rolling Fork and Emma Smith of Mayersville; eight sons, Elijah Washington, Major Larry, Donnie Larry and Sharn Larry, all of Rolling Fork, Henry Hyland of Vicksburg, Herman Larry Jr. of Atlanta, Charles Tucker of California and Phillip Washington of Tampa, Fla.; and one sister, Delia M. Dennis of Greenville.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Mount Lula M.B. Church with the Rev. J.H. Whitehead officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Rolling Fork. Visitation will be from 5 until 6 p.m. Saturday at Walker Funeral Home in Rolling Fork.
