Robert “Bob” Dixon

PORT GIBSON — Robert “Bob” Dixon died Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Patient’s Choice Hospital in Port Gibson. He was 91.

Mr. Dixon was a native of Indiana and a former resident of Pennsylvania and had lived in Port Gibson for six years. He was a graduate in chemical engineering from Penn State University and formerly was employed at National Plastic’s Co. He was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Miriam Dixon.

Survivors include his wife, Ada Hynum Dixon of Port Gibson; three daughters, Emily Fose of Denver, Shirley Brown of McComb, and Melissa LeVine of Lexington, Ky.; one son, Michael Dixon of Mercer, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be later.

Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson has charge of arrangements.
