Alvin Parker died Monday, July 23, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. He was 72.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Love Parker and Estella G. Parker.

Survivors include two brothers, Monroe W. Parker of Greenville and Love R. Parker of Vicksburg; two sisters, Wilma J. Parker and Marilyn P. Randolph, both of Vicksburg; three stepchildren, Wanda K. White of Zion, Ill., Michael Neal and Annette Ferguson, both of Waukegan, Ill.; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Zion No. 1 M.B. Church with the Rev. Larry Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 1 until 6 at Thompson Funeral Home and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service at the church.
