Demeranville to wed Ford Sept. 1

Phillip “Michael” and Peggy Demeranville of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Marie of Clinton, to Jonathan Andrew Ford of Madison. Mr. Ford is the son of Mike and Sandy Ford of Baton Rouge.
Miss Demeranville is the granddaughter of the late Tommy and Edith Abney of Pensacola, Fla., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Mildred Demeranville of Clinton.
Mr. Ford is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. L. Darrel Beall of Belton, Mo., and the late James Lee Ford and Lucile Dockery of Lamar, Mo.
The bride-elect graduated with honors in 2006 from Vicksburg High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and Key Club.
She was a member of the Vicksburg Cotillion Club and Vicksburg Sub-Debs.
She graduated magna cum laude in 2010 from Mississippi College, where she received a bachelor’s degree in social work.
She was a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, Omicron Delta Kappa, Mortar Board and Phi Alpha. She served as secretary and president of the Association of Student Social Workers, was an MC Scout and served as a Freshmen Experience leader for two years. She was involved with Residence Life and Laguna Social Tribe and served as a volunteer with McClean Fletcher Grief Center for Children and Habitat for Humanity.
She graduated summa cum laude in 2011 from Jackson State University, where she received a master’s degree in social work.
Miss Demeranville is employed at the University of Mississippi Medical Center Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital, where she works with oncology, hematology and neurology patients and in children’s rehabilitation.
The prospetive groom graduated in 2001 from Parkview Baptist in Baton Rouge, where he was a member of Mu Alpha Theta, All State-All Metro soccer and the Beta Club.
He received a bachelor’s degree in computer science in 2009 from Mississippi College, where he served as president of the Association of Computing Machinery.
Mr. Ford is manager of business applications development at University of Mississippi Medical Center.
The wedding will be at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 1, 2012, at Provine Chapel at Mississippi College.
A reception will follow at the B.C. Rogers Reception Hall.
All family and friends are invited to attend.
