The engagement of D. Annette Lambert of Brandon to Dr. Thomas K. Sligh of Vicksburg is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 2, 2012, at White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas. A private dinner will follow at The Mirage in Las Vegas.

Ms. Lambert is the daughter of the late Bill Rhodes and Bobbie Rhodes of Brandon and the late Clara McCormick of Opelika, Ala.

Dr. Sligh is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Sligh of Natchez.

The bride-elect received a nursing degree from the Southern Union School of Nursing. She was on the dean’s list and served as vice president of the Student Nurses Association.

Ms. Lambert is a retired registered nurse.

The prospective groom attended Louisiana State University and University Medical Center, where he received a medical degree.

Dr. Sligh is a physician of internal medicine with The Street Clinic and River Region Medical Center.
