Betty Jean and Arthur Prentiss will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows at 5 p.m. Aug. 18, 2012, at the Vicksburg Convention Center. Hosting the event will be their children: Brenda Rowe (Irving), Donald Prentiss (Maria), Hazel Hill (Charlie) and Yolanda Jones (Cecil).

Mrs. Prentiss is retired from the Vicksburg Warren School District, having taught for 30 years. Mr. Prentiss is retired from the South Delta School District, having taught for 40 years. They both received degrees from Alcorn State University.

All friends and relatives are invited to attend the ceremony. Attendance at the reception is by invitation only.
