Two Vicksburg men were injured and one was charged with DUI Saturday night when the 2004 Nissan Titan pickup they were in crashed, Vicksburg police Lt. Jackie Johnson said.

Johnson said Ballard was charged with first-offense DUI, and later released on $784 bond.

He said the accident occurred about 9:13 p.m. Witnesses told officers that Ballard’s truck was northbound on Porters Chapel Road when it crossed the road in front of another car and entered a ditch. The truck then left the ditch, knocking down multiple mailboxes and causing other damage before coming to a stop.
