Carlos Sanchez and Greg Paiml had three hits apiece, and Jake Petricka allowed two runs over seven solid innings to lead the Birmingham Barons to a 3-2 victory over the Mississippi Braves Saturday night at Trustmark Park.

Birmingham plated two runs in the top of the first on bases-loaded walks, and another in the second on an RBI single by Sanchez.

Alden Carrithers and Jason Christian had two hits apiece for the M-Braves. Joey Terdoslavich singled in a run in the first inning.

The M-Braves and Barons conclude their five-game series tonight at 5 at Trustmark Park.
