Harry Sharp, owner of Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery, has been appointed to the Southern Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association Board of Directors, according to the association.

Sharp was appointed to the board by the association’s past presidents at a convention in Savannah, Ga. Sharp was president of the association from 1984 to 1985.

Sharp also has been elected first vice president of the Mississippi Cemetery Association at the association’s annual Tri-State Convention in New Orleans.
