RIDGELAND — Marilyn Ehrhardt Hosemann went to be with our Lord on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012; she was 88 years old.
She was born to Charles E. and Angela Franck in New Orleans. She moved to Vicksburg at a young age and, after attending and graduating St. Francis Xavier Academy, she worked for the Brunini Law Firm for over 35 years.
After so many years and long lists of friends, she moved to north Jackson to be with her family. She led an adventurous life, spending long summer vacations at the beach in Grand Isle, La., as well as Gueydan, La. She also was well-traveled, visiting Ireland, Rome, Egypt and Italy.
She was a devoted member of St. Paul in Vicksburg and then of St. Richard in Jackson. Her strong faith and love for her family sustained her throughout life’s challenges. Her passions included painting and gardening, and she was very talented at both. She also was a proud volunteer at Birthright of Jackson for a number of years.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her brother, Charles Franck and his wife, Lillian; her husband, Johnny Hosemann; and her beloved grandson, Walker Ehrhardt.
She will be missed by her son, Herbert Ehrhardt and his wife, Missy; her brother, Lawrence J. Franck and his wife, Dorothy; her beloved grandson, Wesley Ehrhardt, as well as her nephews, Lawrence, Donald and Charles Franck; nieces, Angela Simpkins and Alicia Franck; and stepdaughters, Patricia and Cecilia Hosemann.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until noon Tuesday with a Mass immediately following at St. Columb’s Episcopal Church, 550 Sunnybrook Road, Ridgeland, MS 39157. Burial will be at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery in Vicksburg at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Birthright of Jackson, P.O. Box 955, Jackson, MS 39205-0955 and The Gleaners in Jackson.
