Timothy C. Barber Sr. died Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at the G.V. “Sonny” Montgomery Veterans Administration Medical Center in Jackson. He was 57.

Mr. Barber served in the Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Barber and Lucy Ferguson Barber; a sister, Elouise Ruffins; and two brothers, James Rome and Roosevelt Rome.

Survivors include a son, Timothy C. Barber Jr. of Vicksburg; three daughters, Lillie Carter, Bodicia Williams and Brittany Williams, all of Vicksburg; three sisters, Georgia Lee Jackson of Oklahoma City, Okla., Mary Rome of Vicksburg and Betty Ann Barber of Detroit; a brother, Richard Barber of Florida; seven grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the service.
