ARCOLA — Costly mistakes spoiled a standout effort from running back Peter Harris and the Porters Chapel defense at Deer Creek School.

The Eagles (1-1) could not capitalize on a short field in the second half like Deer Creek (2-0) did in the first half. Four interceptions and ill-timed penalties, including one that wiped out a 45-yard punt return for a touchdown by Harris in the fourth quarter, were huge.
