The engagement of Summer Michelle Brown to Brian Lavell Hall, both of Brandon, is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 4 p.m. Sept. 22, 2012, at Hawkins United Methodist Church. A reception will follow at the Southern Cultural Heritage Center. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Miss Brown is the daughter of Greg Brown of Florence and David and Terisa Cochran of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Mary Brown and the late Dewey H. Brown Jr., Shirley Summers and the late Pete M. Summers and the late W.T. and Sybil Cochran, all of Vicksburg.

Mr. Hall is the son of Dan and Cathy Hall of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of the late Calvin Hall of Jackson, the late Jenilyn Hall and the late James Lavell “J.L.” and Lorraine Nappier, all of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Vicksburg High School. She received a nursing degree from Louisiana Technical College in Tallulah. She is a nurse at Care+ Pediatrics in Brandon.

The prospective groom is a 2003 graduate of Warren Central High School. He completed the IBEW Local 480 electrical apprenticeship program. He is a foreman at McInnis Electric in Byram.
