Tropical Storm Isaac’s drenching rain and gusting winds began battering Warren County early Thursday by toppling trees and damaging homes.

A tree fell on a mobile home on Myrtle Place in the southern portion of the county early Thursday and displaced a family of six, Sheriff Martin Pace said.

“We’ve received several reports where trees have damaged homes and outbuildings,” Pace said.
