Amacker, Mims exchange vows

Brandon Michael Amacker and Mary Lindley Mims were married at 6:30 p.m. July 7, 2012, at Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church in Jackson. The Rev. Thomas Miller officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Howard Vaught Mims of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oren DeVaughn Bailess and the late Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Crawford Mims Sr., all of Vicksburg.

The groom is the son of Lynne Roberts Amacker and the late William Robert Amacker. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William Herbert Amacker of Poplarville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Homer Small Roberts of Purvis.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Musical selections were performed by the Magnolia String Quartet; Dr. Robert William Knupp, organist and pianist; and Mrs. Earl Aycock, vocalist.

Maid of honor was Neely Ann Nasif of Vicksburg. Bridesmaids were Sarah Mitchell Ballinger and Melanie Anne Douglas, both of Brandon; Heather Alexander Mims and Becca Bailess Stewart, both of Madison; Marlee Mims DeMoville of Columbus; Anna Aycock Mims of Meridian; Chandler Glenn Mims of Vicksburg; Alexandria Elizabeth Small of Pascagoula; Anna Catherine Taylor of Jackson; Katie Richardson Wiygul of Tupelo; and Taylor Katherine Yeomans of Atlanta.

Honorary bridesmaids were Elizabeth McBee Aiken of New Orleans, Brooke Newton Hood of Madison and Shelly Richardson Kirkland of Dallas.

William Blake Amacker of Gulfport served as best man. Groomsmen were Thomas Walker Douglas, Ryland Harris Hemphill Jr. and Mark Whitaker Holland Jr., all of Brandon; Brett Allen Bailess and Hunter Ryan Evans, both of Jackson; John Morgan Mims and Joseph DeVaughn Mims, both of Meridian; Ahmad Duais of Flowood; Seth Harrison Klein of Oxford; Michael Oliver Pardue of Clinton; and Andrew Jerry Evans and John Brandt Sutton, both of Nashville.

Ring bearers were Walker Crawford Mims and Maddox Earl Mims, both of Meridian.

Program attendants were Hayden Hudson and Hally Grace Hudson, both of Oxford, and Abigayle Talbot and Hanna Grace Talbot, both of Hattiesburg.

A reception followed at The South of Jackson.

Following a wedding trip to Antigua, the couple will make their home in Madison. The bride is employed with the Madison County Schools, and the groom is employed at The Insurance Center of Meridian.
