Mr. Bell, Miss Thomas are wed in Tennessee

Price Headley Bell Jr. and Elizabeth Mills “Beth” Thomas were married at 5:30 p.m. June 16, 2012, in All Saints’ Chapel on the campus of the University of the South in Sewanee, Tenn. The Rev. Becca Stevens of Nashville officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Peggy Biggers Thomas of Roswell, Ga., and the late William David “Bill” Thomas Sr. of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Preston Biggers of Corinth and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Thomas of Vicksburg.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Price Headley Bell of Lexington, Ky. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Gardner Beach of Frankfort, Ky., and Dr. and Mrs. John Chandler and the late Reynolds Bell Sr., all of Lexington.

The bride was given in marriage by her brother, William David Thomas Jr. of Roswell. Her chosen colors were pale pink and green. Nuptial music was presented by Dr. Jason Farris of Sewanee.

Matron of honor was Katherine Rogers Snell of Atlanta. Bridesmaids were Alice Bell Little, sister of the groom, and Alley Elizabeth Pickren, both of Nashville; Meghan Elizabeth King and Nancy Kathryn Tujague, both of Washington, D.C.; Mary Beth Bolt Campbell of Columbia, S.C.; Erin Morrison Flynn of San Francisco, Calif.; Hennessy Howell Williams of Birmingham, Ala.; Lauren Elizabeth Estes of Vicksburg; Megan Sabol Martinez of Waveland; and Mindy Litsinger Thomas, sister-in-law of the bride, of Roswell.

Bridal attendants were Emma Kathryn Knight and Olivia Grace Knight, cousins of the bride, of Corinth.

The groom’s brother, Gardner Beach Bell of Lexington, served as best man. Groomsmen were James Gatewood Bell Jr., cousin of the groom, Henry Charles Tyler Richmond IV and John Reynolds Wehrman, all of Lexington; Matthew Seth Beer and Ryan John Byrnes, both of New York, N.Y.; James Marshall Haggard Jr. and Peter Deal Little Jr., brother-in-law of the groom, both of Nashville; Michael Steigner Lipman of Washington, D.C.; John Malcolm McCardell III of Columbia; John McLean Richmond of Birmingham; Joseph Wilson Owen of St. Louis, Mo.; Daniel Voiers “Wick” Terrell IV of Boulder, Colo.; and Bradley Thomas Ulrich of New Grand Chain, Ill.

The bride’s niece, Margaret Katherine “Katie” Thomas of Roswell, served as flower girl. Ring bearer was Augustus “Gus” Beach Goodman, cousin of the groom, of Lexington.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Kirby-Smith House. Music for dancing was provided by The SoulSations of Memphis.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to Cumberland Island and Savannah, Ga., and Beaufort, S.C. They will make their home in Lexington, where the groom is a bloodstock agent with Nicoma Bloodstock and the bride is executive assistant to the president at Cornett Integrated Marketing Solutions.

Rehearsal dinner

The groom’s parents hosted a dinner for the wedding party and guests at the Sewanee Inn the night before the wedding. Special guests were the groom’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gardner Beach.

Brunch

Mrs. John Hadad III and aunts of the bride, Mrs. Ford Griffith and Mrs. Ernest Thomas, honored the bride and her attendants with a brunch the day before the wedding at Julia’s Restaurant in Sewanee. The bride chose this time to present gifts to her attendants.

Welcome party

The wedding weekend began with a welcome party held at the Monteagle Inn in Monteagle, Tenn. Hosts were Sandra and John Brooks, Lacy and Bill Evans, Morella and John Henegan, Bonnie and John MacNaughton, Sally and Dick Molpus and Janet and Steve Wagner.

Showers

Lauren Estes, Erin Flynn, Megan Martinez and Hennessy Williams honored the bride with a kitchen shower in New Orleans.

The bride and groom were honored with a wedding shower in Lexington. Hosts were Lauren and Gatewood Bell, Tiffany and Drew Fleming, Catherine and Tyler Richmond, Katherine and John Snell and Emily and Reynolds Wehrman.
