Bill Park, a member of Southside Baptist Church, volunteers Monday at Antioch Cemetery by cutting to clear a 100-year-old oak tree that toppled onto tombstones when Tropical Storm Isaac blew through the county at the end of August. Sexton Gordon Cotton said plans are being made to clear debris from about 24 graves affected by the downed tree. Antioch Baptist Church was organized Jan. 2, 1819, in Warren County, and many of the area’s early settlers are buried in the cemetery on Fisher Ferry Road near Goodrum Road.
