Wreck injures two motorcyclists from South Carolina

A South Carolina man and woman injured when their motorcycle and a truck collided Monday on East Clay Street were treated and released from River Region Medical Center, a hospital spokesman said this morning.
Janiece Tyndall, 53, and George Tyndall, 59, both of Conway, S.C., were traveling east on East Clay on their 2007 Harley-Davidson when a westbound 2001 Dodge Ram driven by Dwayne Douglas, 31, 1316 Grove St., attempted to turn into a motel parking lot and the vehicles collided, Vicksburg police Traffic Investigator Leonce Young said.
Douglas was not injured.
Charges against city prisoner increased
A Vicksburg man accused of selling cocaine was in jail this morning.
Sam Stampley, 30, 2215 Pearl St., was charged with two counts of sale of cocaine at 10 a.m. Monday, police Capt. Bobby Stewart said.
Stampley was already in the Warren County Jail on burglary and grand larceny when the drug charges were added, Stewart said.
The drug charges were the result of an undercover investigation following complaints about drug-related activity in the Pearl Street area, Stewart said.
Stampley was being held on a $15,000 bail on the drug charges.
Pedestrian picked up, held for forgery
A Vicksburg woman accused of cashing two forged checks was in jail today.
Oceanna Lee, 19, 1201 South St., was arrested while walking in the 1100 block of Clay Street and charged with two counts of uttering forgery at 4:08 p.m. Lee, who was recognized by the arresting officer, was at the Issaquena County Jail this morning in lieu of $10,000 bond.
Lee is accused of forging two checks totaling $905 at two Vicksburg bank branches.
Three city men held for drug court
Three Vicksburg men were held without bail this morning for drug court sanctions.
Pinky Andrews, 48, 1718 Lane St.; Charles Adams, 39, 780 U.S. 61. Apt. 10; and Timothy Hutson, 41, 4534 Halls Ferry Road, were in the Warren County Jail.
