For couples interested in a date night that’s not the typical dinner and a movie, Southern Cultural Heritage Center officials are offering the “More Than a Painting” art.

“This is a brand-new idea that a (Sourthern Cultural Heritage) Foundation member came up with,” said Annette Kirklin, director of the center.

The SCHC has offered many art classes in the past, but never one geared toward couples painting side by side, Kirklin said.
