Services for Tommy Lee “Tuck” Martin will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Valley M.B. Church, 260 Mississippi 27, with the Rev. Joe Harris Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 1 until 6 p.m. at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with the family present from 5 until 6 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.
Mr. Martin died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. He was 58.
Mr. Martin was born in Yokena and was a graduate of South Vicksburg High School. He was a member of Pleasant Valley M.B. Church, where he was a member of the male choir, mass choir and the usher ministry. He was a certified welder at Cooper Lighting.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy White; two brothers, Robert White and Henry Martin; two sisters, Rebecca Young and Alice White Scott; maternal grandparents; and paternal grandparents.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Noel Martin of Vicksburg; a daughter, Tomisea Martin of Vicksburg; his mother, Winnie Martin; five brothers, Edward Myles of Birmingham, Ala., Leroy White Jr. of Knob Noster, Mo., William White of Surprise, Ariz., David White of El Paso, Texas, and Larry Cain Martin of Vicksburg; seven sisters, Rosie Elder of Waukegan, Ill., Doris Bolden, Olevia White, Rita Hunter, Shelia Dillamar and Bertha Brown, all of Vicksburg, and Pamela King of Columbia, Ga.; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
