Push the doorbell on Al Lundin’s front door and you’ll hear a few bars of “Dixie.”

It took Al 75 years to get here — he’s 85 — and he knows he’s not really a true Southerner, “because I talk funny.” If folks question his being from Vicksburg, his reply is, “I had the good sense when up North to marry a Vicksburg girl. That’s what brought me here.”
