City man charged in August drive-by shooting

A Vicksburg man accused of drive-by shooting was jailed this morning.

Demetrice Blackmore, 35, 4032 Farmer St., surrendered at police headquarters at 4:54 p.m. Monday, police Capt. Bobby Stewart said.

Blackmore is accused of shooting multiple times into three vehicles Aug. 20 in the 1100 block of Jefferson Street, Stewart said.

Blackmore was held this morning in lieu of $75,000 bail.
