RACELAND, La. — Susan Carr Crochet died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at Leonard J. Chabert Medical Center in Houma, La. She was 48.

Mrs. Crochet was born in Hollandale and had lived in Raceland for a number of years. She was the manager of a convenience store.

She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Carr; mother, Rosa Wolfe Carr; and a son, Gerard John Sykes.

Survivors include her husband, Barry Crochet of Raceland; a son, Scott Sykes of Houma; a brother, Wesley Carr of Independence, La.; and four sisters, Rose Phelps of Calhoun City, Janet Daussin of Marrero, La., Marjorie Ameen of Rolling Fork and Carol Carr of Pineville.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Rolling Fork with the Rev. Clyde Pullen officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Cemetery in Rolling Fork. Visitation will be Monday from noon until the service at the funeral home.
