HOW THEY DID

A look at how players from Vicksburg-area high schools did in college football games played over the weekend.

• Mississippi State kicker Devon Bell (Warren Central) kicked three field goals, from 42, 42 and 31 yards, and was 3-for-3 on PATs in a 30-10 win over South Alabama. Bell also had three touchbacks on six kickoffs.

• Murray State defensive back Darius Buck (Warren Central) had three solo tackles and two assists in a 50-49 overtime loss to Eastern Illinois.

• Tarleton State wide receiver Cordell Valentine (Warren Central) caught two passes for 23 yards, and carried the ball once for 3 yards in a 35-23 win over Eastern New Mexico.
