A 12th suspect was arrested Thursday in a citywide round up of accused Vicksburg drug dealers.

At 12:15 p.m. Edward Pettis, 37, 109 Quinola Lane, was arrested and charged with sale of cocaine and possession of cocaine, police Capt. Bobby Stewart said.

Pettis was spotted by police near Speed and Lake streets and fled on foot before he was arrested while hiding behind a house, Stewart said.

Pettis was held this morning without bail in the Issaquena County Jail.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, police rounded up 11 people accused of selling cocaine and hydrocodone, and more arrests are still expected, Stewart said.
