Distel, Wheeler are wed Sept. 8 in Ohio

Jonathan L. Distel and Lori Ann Wheeler were married at 3 p.m. Sept. 8, 2012, at Conneaut Community Center overlooking Lake Erie in Conneaut, Ohio. Ashley Christian of Kettering, Ohio, officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Toni Wheeler of Conneaut. She is the granddaughter of Roy and Janet Woodworth of Conneaut and Robert and Loretta Wheeler of Haines City, Fla.
The groom is the son of George and Dale Distel of Conneaut. He is the grandson of Pat Savage of Andover, Ohio.
The bride’s chosen colors were hot pink and silver.
Matron of honor was Lisa Distel, sister of the bride, of Conneaut. Bridesmaids were Emily Macri of Port Orange, Fla.; Amanda Gilbert of Jerry City, Ohio; and Alisha Caldwell of Galloway, Ohio.
The groom’s brothers, Curt Distel of Conneaut and Nick Distel of Strongsville, Ohio, served as best men. Groomsmen were Jerry Mullins of Conneaut and Scott Potts of Perry, Ohio.
Flower girl was Reagan Caldwell of Galloway. Ring bearer was Wyatt Distel, nephew of the bride and groom, of Conneaut.
A reception followed at the Mount Carmel Banquet Center in Ashtabula, Ohio. Guests were entertained with music by DJ Max.
For a honeymoon, the couple traveled on a cruise from New Orleans to Cozumel, Mexico.
The bride is a graduate of Conneaut High School and the University of Toledo, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She is employed in Labor and Delivery at River Region Medical Center.
The groom is a graduate of Conneaut High School and is employed by the U.S. Coast Guard as chief engineer on the Coast Guard Cutter Kickapoo, home ported in Vicksburg.
