Edna W. Granville

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Edna W. Granville, a former Vicksburg resident, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. She was 79.

Mrs. Granville was a graduate of Bowman High School and Jackson State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in education. She was a retired teacher from the Kalamazoo Public Schools.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Granville; two sons, Robert Eliot Granville and Charles K. Granville; a daughter, Rosa Denise; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends including Roberta Denham of Vicksburg.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First United Baptist Church in Kalamazoo with the Rev. Lenzy Bell officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta. Visitation will be from 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday at Harper Funeral Home in Kalamazoo.
