Services for Julia Reynolds will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Solid Rock Pentecostal Church with the Rev. B.L. Talbert officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 6 p.m. Friday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Reynolds died Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at her home. She was 78.

Mrs. Reynolds was a retired cook from Mama’s Grill. She was member of the Solid Rock Pentecostal Church, where she was a former choir member and mother of the church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison Reynolds; her parents, Leroy and Corrine Hogan Shorter; her brothers, John L. Shorter and Robert Shorter; and a sister Annie Lee Davis.

Survivors include two sons, Harrison C. Reynolds of Jackson and Murray Carl Reynolds, both of Vicksburg; her daughters, Dorothy Doss, Marie Swanier, Marie Annette Cox, Belinda Reynolds and Doris Shelton, all of Vicksburg; her brother, Willie Shorter of Vicksburg; four sisters, Corrine Palmer, Lee Esther Hall, Christine Miller and Ernestine Willis, all of Vicksburg; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, and other friends and relatives.
